Applications are invited from qualified persons for the following posts on Temporary/Contract Basis:-

University advertisement for the post of Professors and Associate Professors in the disciplines of Physics, Electronics/Mechanical Engineering published in daily Jang on 26th June and in daily Times on 29th June, 2012 (with closing date June 13, 2012) stands cancelled. See REVISED posts in these disciplines.

1.    PROFESSOR
       Pay Package (Equivalent to that of TTS)

• Computer Science (Male & Female)
• Software Engineering (Male & Female)
• Electronics Engineering (Male) (Specialization in Electrical Power Engineering/ Advance Electronics)
• Physics (Male) (Specialization in Experimental Optics/Photonics or Experimental Bio Photonics)

REQUIREMENTS ON TTS FOR ALL DISCIPLINES
(i)  Ph.D from a recognized and reputable Institution in the relevant field;
(ii)  11-years post-Ph.D experience    OR
7 years post-Ph.D plus 12 years of experience before Ph.D
(3 years before Ph.D = one year post Ph.D in the relevant field) in a recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization;
(iii)  15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the past 5 years) in internationally abstracted Journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on Tenure Track by the HEC

2.    ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
       Pay Package (Equivalent to that of TTS)

• Physics (Male) (Specialization in Experimental Bio Photonics)
• Physics (Female) (Specialization in Theoretical Physics)
• Computer Science (Male & Female)
• Software Engineering (Male & Female)
• Mechanical Engineering (Male) (Specialization in Mechanical Power Engineering)
• Electronics Engineering (Male) (Specialization in Electrical Power Engineering/ Advance Electronics)
• Electronics Engineering (Female) (Specialization in Experimental Telecommunication or Electronics)

 REQUIREMENTS ON TTS FOR ALL DISCIPLINES

 (i)   Ph.D from a recognized and reputable Institution in the relevant field;
(ii)   6-years post-Ph.D experience  
OR
        4 years post-Ph.D plus 6 years of professional experience before Ph.D
(3 years before Ph.D = one year post Ph.D in the relevant field) in a recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or International Organization;
(iii)  10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the past 5 years) in internationally abstracted journals recognized for the purpose of appointment on TTS by the HEC.

NOTE:

1. IIU reserves the right to short list the candidates and to reject any/all applications without assigning any reason.
2. Two sets of applications duly completed in all respect along-with attested copies of testimonials, experience certificates and NOC from the present employer (if any) on the prescribed form available on IIU website www.iiu.edu.pk for the posts along with crossed postal order/pay order/bank draft for Rs.300/= in favor of Director (Finance) IIU.
