A group of 30 students male and female from Gujrat Institute of Management Sciences, PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Gujrat visited International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) on Friday.
The delegation of students was addressed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, IIUI who welcomed the students and stressed upon improvement in higher education. He said that this is the age of knowledge economy and no nation can excel in this particular field unless it prioritizes higher education.
Dr. Masoom elaborated the role of university in nation building, inculcating Islamic values and imparting contemporary knowledge. He said youth is future of Pakistan and no investment is better than the investment in youth.
The students were also briefed by the male and female heads of departments of mathematics of IIUI, while Dr Tariq Javed, students’ advisor male also joined the briefing.
Later, the delegation also visited the departments and library of the university.
