Benevolent Fund (Government of Pakistan)

Semester/annual fee is reimbursed for children of serving, retired or deceased Government Employees studying in Public Sector Universities, colleges and institutions in Medical (MBBS & BDS), Engineering (all Engineering programs accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council), IT (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Bio-Informatics, Information System), Business Studies (Business Administration, Accounting & Finance), D-Pharmacy and Architecture.
 
Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibility criteria are admissions on merit and passing the Semester/Annual Examination without fail in any subject.
For the purpose of reimbursement of fee, preferably provision of original bank paid fee challan is required. However, in case of online fee payment by the applicant directly in the university account, following documents are required along with fee challan showing detail of fee:
  • University verified copy of student ledger maintained by the university showing university A/C No. and detail of amount of fee deposited by him for the specific semester for which reimbursement is being applied to FEB & GIF.
  • Copy of bank manager’s verified statement of a/c of the applicant showing transfer of semester fee into the university’s a/c.
Educational Stipends
Paid for post matric studies excluding PhD to maximum two children of the Federal Government Employees in a Financial Year.

The Punjab Provincial Benevolent Fund Board invites applications on the prescribed form for grant of Educational Scholarship through publication in the newspaper each year.
Educational
Current rates for award of Educational Scholarship granted to the children of government servants per annum are as follows:
Gazette (Part-I)
Primary to Matric level PKR 10,000
F.A, B.A and equivalent level PKR 28,000
M.A and equivalent level, BDS, MBBS, B.Sc. (Eng), DVM, B.Sc. (Hon), Agri, B. Pharmacy, M.Phil., PhD, etc. PKR 32,000
Non – Gazette (Part-II)
Primary to Matric level PKR 1,500
F.A, B.A and equivalent level PKR 6,000
M.A and equivalent level, BDS, MBBS, B.Sc. (Eng), DVM, B.Sc. (Hon), Agri, B. Pharmacy, M.Phil., PhD, etc. PKR 8,000
A special scholarship is awarded to the high achievers i.e. children securing 90% or more marks in any examination in (Matriculation or above), are awarded PKR 50,000 instead of normal rates.
 
KPK Provincial Benevolent Fund:
  • Children of serving provincial government employees (regular Benevolent Fund contributors), scoring not less than 1st Division, are eligible for the Merit Scholarship.
  • Each category above will further be divided into sub-categories e.g. Science, Arts, MBBS, Engineering, LLB and Veterinary Science etc., whereas quota / number of cases in each sub-category (each year) will be allocated based on proportionate number of applications in each sub-category, for fair competition amongst sub-categories.
  • Applications are invited on closing of each calendar year and grant is sanctioned on final results only.
  • The grantee who avail the Merit Scholarship is not eligible for any other scholarships.
  • The scholarship application forms are required to be verified from the Head of Institution and submitted through the head of Department concerned.
Form should be filled clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS, and all required information must be provided. Incomplete forms will not be entertained
