“Salat-ul-Kusuf” (صلاة الكسوف) was offered at Faisal Masjid, Islamabad on Thursday amid Solar Eclipse.
It was organized by Dawah Academy, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), while Dr. Qari Zia-Ur-Rehman led the Namaz. On this occasion Director General Dawah Academy, (IIUI) addressed and highlighted importance to offer Salat-ul-Kusuf in the light of Quran and Sunnah.
Salat ul-Kusuf (صلاة الكسوف) is a prayer consisting of two rakaah performed during a solar eclipse. It was last celestial activity of the year, while last eclipse was seen in Pakistan back in 1999.
