RECTOR, IIUI CALLS FOR UNITY OF MUSLIM UMMAH TO RESOLVE KASHMIR ISSUE

 BARRISTER SULTAN MAHMOOD EX-PM AJK CALLED ON RECTOR, IIUI

Barrister Sultan Mahmood, Ex Prime Minister, AJK, Called on Rector, IIUI at his Office. During meeting Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzi, Rector International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) said that the University will continue to play its role nationally and internationally to highlight vital issues of Kashmir. Dr. Masoom briefed him about the evolution process of IIUI and endorsed that presently Govt., of Pakistan has granted mega grant for infrastructure as well.

 

 

He added that the salient features of this university has enabled it as a unique educational institution for the country not only nationally but internationally for the Muslim Ummahj, where more than 31,000 students are getting education in which approximately 16,000 female students studying in a separate campus. He added that Government is focusing on higher education; consequently this university has engaged its students and faculty members in progressive research work with integration of Islamic knowledge and contemporary academics. Rector, IIUI said that academicians are playing vital role in character building of our young generation. He furthered that Ulema and academia can play a pivotal role for the resolution of Kashmir Cause.

 

Barrister Sultan lauded role of Prof. Dr. Masoom for AJK Universities and stressed that it’s the need of era that Muslim Ummah must be united to resolve the Kashmir issue as coordination among top leaders is necessary for the salvation of this vital issue of Kashmiri people. He stressed upon the need to mobilize the youth of the country on Kashmir issue. In the end Dr. Masoom present university crest to the guest and after meeting, Barrister Sultan attended a seminar organized by students at faculty block of the university.
