NDU DELEGATION VISITS IIUI

A delegation from the National Defence University (NDU) Islamabad visited the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and the iconic Faisal Mosque.

Led by Brigadier Muhammad Khurram Shahzad, the Directing Staff Coordination of National Defence University, the delegation was comprised of faculty members and 46 high-ranking officers from 22 friendly countries, including Brigadiers and Colonels. This visit was a part of an inland study tour integral to the National Security and War Course (NSWC), allowing officers from various nations to immerse themselves in Pakistan’s rich cultural, historical, and religious tapestry.

The delegation was warmly received by representatives from IIUI’s Public Relations. The delegation was briefed by Dawah Academy’s Faisal Masjid Islamic Centre (FMIC) on the historical background and the intricate architectural details of Faisal Mosque. The iconic structure, a symbol of Pakistan’s cultural heritage, left a lasting impression on the visitors, who expressed admiration for its grandeur.

Continuing their exploration, the delegation visited the Dr. Hamidullah Library and Seerah Centre, gaining insights into the academic and research facets of IIUI. Brigadier Rtd. Dr. Muhammad Khan, Director (Academics & Examinations), provided a detailed introduction to the university’s faculties during a presentation at the Allama Iqbal Auditorium. Dr. Khan also shared the visionary goals of the university under the leadership of Dr. Hathal Hamoud Alotaibi, emphasizing a commitment to academic excellence.

Addressing the participants Dr. Khans said that International Islamic University Islamabad is committed to embark on its journey towards becoming a beacon of knowledge and a hub for intellectual development, committed to providing students with a transformative educational experience while contributing meaningfully to society and the global academic community.

This visit not only deepened the understanding of Pakistan’s cultural and academic landscape but also fostered international cooperation and goodwill, reflecting the spirit of camaraderie among nations. On this occasion delegates lauded the role of IIUI in society building as well as they also hailed the International Character of university.
