The Regional Dawah Center (Sindh), Karachi of Dawah Academy, International Islamic University Islamabad IIUI organized an Islamic training program for teachers of religious seminaries.
The program was attended by teachers from 25 seminaries.
On the first day, renowned scholar and researcher Dr. Syed Salman Nadwi emphasized the need to modernize the curriculum of religious seminaries and adopt research-based teaching methods to produce scholars equipped to address contemporary challenges.
Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan, a distinguished researcher from the UK, delivered an insightful lecture on contemporary challenges in the study of Seerah. Educational expert Nisar Musa Baloch conducted a detailed workshop on the theme “The Teacher as a Leader,” highlighting the pivotal role of teachers in nurturing students’ intellectual and personal development.
Former Chairman of the Department of Mass Communication at Karachi University, Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ghaznavi, spoke on the importance of communication skills in effective teaching, while educationist Farooq Edhi stressed the significance of setting clear educational goals and utilizing modern teaching technologies.
Renowned scholar Maulana Samiullah Saadi discussed “The Sciences of Hadith,” “Modern Jurisprudential Issues,” and “The Miracles of the Quran.”
Dr. Syed Aziz-ur-Rehman delivered an enlightening address on the role of scholars in education and Dawah, emphasizing the integration of research and outreach in their work.
During the inaugural session, Course Coordinator Dr. Shehzad Channa highlighted the activities of Dawah Academy and introduced the program.
The program concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony. In his closing remarks, Dr. Syed Aziz-ur-Rehman, In-charge of the Regional Dawah Center (Sindh), Karachi, stated that the training aimed to equip teachers with the skills and knowledge needed to address modern challenges and integrate advanced educational technologies into their teaching practices.
