An International webinar on “Human Microbiome-Role of Fusobacterium in Cancer” was organized by the Department of Biological Sciences, Female Campus.
The objective of this webinar was to introduce the students and researchers to the cell cycle modelling & infectivity of the Periodontal pathogen Fusobacterium nucleatum. The session was held via Zoom and more than 80 participants participated in the event.
Invited speaker Dr. David Edwards from the School of Dentistry, UK illustrated in detail the interplay of indigenous organisms with human physiology both in health and disease. His findings on FAD2 genes/proteins linked with apoptosis were interesting to the students.
At the event, Dr. Sobia Tabassum (chairperson) and Dr. Bushra Uzair, faculty member, thanked the guest speaker and participants for active participation in the event.
