Quality Assurance in Higher Education is the foundation to confront the future challenges, which may come for globalizing forces, intense Economic competition based on knowledge resources, sustaining national and international objectives. This is one reason that Quality Assurance parameters in higher education have to be universally quantifiable and must address the global standards and practices.
With this vision International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has opened its Higher Education practices and procedures to the National and International scrutiny. To achieve this, Directorate of Quality Assurance has been established, whose job is to ensure implementation of the carefully developed criterion and standards of Higher Education. This process is open and regularly reviewed by HEC.
To include the global scrutiny, guidelines and good practices, IIUI had applied for the membership of International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) which is a prestigious organization based in Netherlands (Holland). Based on facts presented about the Quality of Education INQAAHE has granted membership to IIU. This is a great honor and a leap forwarded, for being accepted to be under the umbrella of an International Scrutiny.
