Applications are invited from qualified persons for the position of Professor (BPS-21)/ Director  OR  Associate Professor (BPS-20)/Director for office of the Research Innovation and Commercialization.

1) Prescribed Qualification:

  • For Professor (BPS-21)

Ph.D from an HEC recognized Institution in the field of Natural Sciences/Technology with 15-years teaching/research experience (at least 8-years post Ph.D experience) in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Must have 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years) in HEC recognized journals.
OR
Ph.D degree in field of Natural Sciences/Technology with 10-years post-Ph.D teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Must have 15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years) in HEC recognized journals.

  • For Associate Professor (BPS-20)

Ph.D in the field Natural Sciences/Technology from an HEC recognized University/Institution with 10-years teaching/research experience (at least 4-years post Ph.D experience) in an HEC recognized University or post graduate Institution or professional experience in relevant field in National or International Organization. Must have 10 publications (with at least 4 publications in last 5 years) in HEC recognized journals.
OR
Ph.D degree in Natural Sciences/Technology field with 5-years post Ph.D teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. Must have 10 publications (with at least 4 publications in last 5 years) in HEC recognized journals.

2)            Preference will be given to the candidate(s) having experience of effective liaison with public/private industrial sector for establishing university linkages and to translate research into public benefit.

3)            Major Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the university’s strategic research directions and policies
  • Increasing and diversifying external research funding
  • Improving recruitment and retention of top faculty
  • Improving integration of research and education at all levels of the university
  • Improving translation of research into the public benefit
  • Strengthening university-industry relationships
  • Promoting entrepreneurship, technology-transfer and commercialization activities that energize and support the local and national economy
  • Promoting and enhancing cross-cutting and multi-disciplinary research initiatives
