The Director General, International Institute of Islmic Economics (IIIE), International Islamic University in recognition of best
performance in the respective field was pleased to award best performance certificates as well as some cash prizes to the following;
1. Execellence in teaching award among 10% of top performer teaching faculty in individual subjects based on students’ feedback/evaluation.
2. Male students securing highest CGPA in their respective batches.
3. Male students achieving first prize in sports and extra curriculum activities held under Cultural Week Sports programe of 2012.
4. Best performance award to the employees.
Continuing from Spring 2011 semester the second event was held on 16th May 2012 in male campus of IIU. The event has proved encouraging the faculty members, both regular and part time, to enhance their teaching techniques and achieving highest level of student’s satisfaction.
Among the best performance teachers included Mr. Habibullah (visiting faculty) for Arabic Language, Hafiz Muhammad Asghar (visiting faculty) for Islamic Law of Business Contract, Mr. Mumtaz Ahmed (Lecturer IIIE) for Econometrics, Mr. Ather Rafique (Assistant Professor IIIE) for Microeconomics, Dr. Pervez Zamurrad Janjua (Professor IIIE) for Development Economics and Dr. Asad Zaman (Professor/D.G. IIIE) for Current Issues in Islamic Economics.
The highest achievers in their respective batches, the students included Mr. Ebadullah (Economics), Mr. Muhammad Sohail (Economics), Hafiz Muhammad Shoaib (Economics), Mr. Samiullah Khan (Economics), Mr. Muhammad Haroon (E&F), Mr. Muhammad Ishtiaq (Economics & Finance), Mr. Iftikhar Muhammad (Economics & Finance), Mr. Abdul Wase (Economics & Finance), Mr. Muhammad Usman Shamim (Islamic Banking & Finance), Mr. Osama (Islamic Banking & Finance), Mr. Muhammad Arslan Iqbal (Islamic Banking & Finance) and Mr. Zahid (Islamic Banking & Finance). Mr. Sajid Aslam and Mr. Muhammad Jalil were awarded on account of their performacne of best athelete of IIIE.
Mr. Tauqir Ahmed (Research Investigater), Mr. Muhammad Akhlaq (Assistant Admin. Officer), Syed Niaz Ali Shah (Assistant) and Mr. Muhammad Yousaf Khattak (Driver) were awarded the excellence certificates on account of their best performacne in dispensing with their official assignments.
In his opening remarks Dr. Pervez Zamurrad Janjua highlighted the event’s details, the very objective and affirmative efforts in creation and reflection of knowledge. Dr. Asad Zaman, the chief guest, emphasised the participants to integrate the knowledge of Islamic Economics to resolve the current issues in a balanced and effective manner by looking at positive aspect in their daily walk of life.
