IIUI RECTOR ATTENDS MEETING AT PRESIDENCY

Prof. Dr. Samina Malik, Rector, International Islamic University Islamabad attended a meeting at President’s Secretariat on Thursday.

The meeting was also attended by the representatives of Ministry of Education and Professional Training and Higher Education Commission. In the meeting, the IIUI was appreciated for its preparedness about the achievements and future plans. University’s vision of knowing market requirements and contemporary trends to nurture the youth were also lauded.

It was noted that skilled youth is imperative for the country’s bright future.

Underscoring the increasing importance of online education, it was agreed that online contents of the knowledge needed to be enhanced as distance learning is cost-effective and easily accessible and duly recognized worldwide.
Development of strengthened online mode of learning by opting for online learning resources to provide updated learning facilities to the faculty and students was also stressed. The IIUI leadership was assured of maximum support while satisfaction was showed on the pace of the progress across the campuses.

On the occasion, IIUI Rector briefed on the recent achievements of the university including new implementation of the new strategic plan.

She also briefed about the administrative reforms initiated at the university such as provision of the peaceful milieu for students.

IIUI Rector said on the occasion that the university, in the guidance of prudent vision of the Chancellor, is striving to enhance its ties with industry and it is focusing on producing knowledge relevant to the needs of society.

On this occasion, University Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. N.B. Jumani, Director of the Office of President IIUI, Dr. Ali Metab Al-Ahmeri and other relevant officers of the university were also present on this occasion.
