IIUI PRO-CHANCELLOR CALLS ON MINISTER FOR EDUCATION

A delegation of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) headed by H.E. Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al Ameri, Chancellor IIUI/ President of the Riyadh’s Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University at Kingdom of Saudi Arabia along with H.E Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan called on Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Mr. Madad Ali Sindhi. President International Islamic University, Islamabad, Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi was also present on the occasion.

Honorable Madad Ali Sindhi praised the Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and said that it has a rich history and prestige. Minister said that he has prioritized the quality of education, reduction of out of school children and research on Seerat e Nabi (PBUH) since taking over as the education minister.

Madad Ali Sindhi warmly welcomed the delegation. He said that the work and efforts of Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi has been exemplary. Minister appreciated the upgradation of the systems in IIUI. Madad Ali Sindhi said that the standard of education at IIUI has been consistently on the rise under the leadership of Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi.

Madad Ali Sindhi stressed the need to increase the scope of research on Seerat ul Nabi (PBUH). He said that there should be collaboration between universities of KSA and Pakistan to enhance and broaden the scope of research to Shariat, Role of Judiciary, Islamic law and political teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Minister and H.E Dr. Ahmed Bin Salem Al Amri President of the Riyadh’s Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University agreed to start exchange of teachers at the university level to conduct research on Seerat e Nabi (PBUH). H.E Dr. Ahmed Bin Salem Al Amri President of the Riyadh’s Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University said that we have offered 700 scholarships to Pakistani students and we plan to increase that number in accordance with the wishes of the education ministry of Pakistan.

H.E Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al Ameri said that there should be collaboration on topics of mutual interest such as medicine, cyber security, climate change, engineering, artificial intelligence, distance learning, and renewable energy. He said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would finance all such research. Similarly, he emphasized on the need to exchange expertise especially with respect to training of teachers. His Excellency and the Education Minister agreed to start an exchange program for the training of faculty at university level.
H.E Dr. Ahmed Bin Salem Al Amri President of the Riyadh’s Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University said that there are excellent Arabic language Institutes in KSA that can extend their programs to the universities in Pakistan via distance learning or exchange of teachers.

H.E Dr. Ahmed Bin Salem Al Amri President of the Riyadh’s Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University said that the purpose of his visit is to enhance and strengthen the strategic relationship between the two brotherly countries and he hoped that the two countries can still further come closer. Madad Ali Sindhi said that the two countries have the strongest of bonds and the people of Pakistan consider KSA as their second home.

Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi said that the people of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia consider the people of Pakistan as blood brothers. He said that he has devoted his time in Pakistan to better the society of Pakistan in light of teachings of Islam. He said that academic education has been the top priority in addition with character building of the masses while instilling tolerance in the society. He also apprised of the strategic plan of the IIUI and his vision for academic excellence.
