IIUI LUCKY DRAW: 8 OFFICIALS TO PERFORM UMRAH

International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), in a lucky draw on Thursday announced to send 8 of its officials for performing Umrah from University Welfare Fund.

The ceremony of lucky draw which was held here at new campus, attended by IIUI Vice President (Academics) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily as Chief Guest.  Prof. Dr. Muhammad Munir, Vice President (AF&P), Mr. Khalid Mahmood Raja, Director (Administration)/Chairman University Welfare Fund Committee and Mr. Samar Iqbal President (USWA)  were also present in the ceremony. A large number of IIUI officials also attended the ceremony.

Names of Eight lucky participants including two faculty members two officers and four staff members of the university were announced to perform Umrah on this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, IIUI VP, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily congratulated the officials who were chosen in draw and said that they are blessed by Allah Almighty. He further said that every Muslim wishes to perform Hajj and Umrah and join the sacred environment of Baitullah and Masjid-e-Nabvi. “Hajj and Umrah are the omens of unity of Muslims.

On this occasion an Umrah ticket was also announced by Mr. Samar Iqbal, President (USWA) from his own pocket while according to details all fortunate members will be given a cheques of Rs.120,000/- per person from the University Welfare Fund to perform Umrah.
