IIUI, IUB INK MoU FOR MUTUAL COOPERATION

International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and Islamic University of Bahawalpur (IUB) have vowed to boost bilateral cooperation in the fields of research, community benefit, exchange of knowledge and arrangement of conferences by inking Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).

The MoU was signed by the President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh and Vice Chancellor IUB Dr. Athar Mehboob. It has been signed for the mutual cooperation and academic excellence between the Department of IUB and Islamic Research Institute (IRI) of IIUI.

As per the MoU, both the universities have agreed for the joint venture of mutual interests, training programs and exchange of experiences. Both the universities also agreed to constitute a committee to supervise the expedition of the joint projects and possibilities for the execution of join aims. It was also agreed that collaboration and exchange of research materials related to joint academic and research projects will be initiated through a well-devised road-map.

Both sides were keen for organizing joint ventures for promotion of education upon which top leaderships bilaterally vowed that steps for holding conferences, seminars, lectures and workshops in the fields of mutual interest will be taken as soon as possible.

The ceremony was also joined by the Dr. Zia ul Haq, Director General IRI and officials of the IUB Department of Islamic Studies.

Dr. Athar termed the agreement a landmark to achieve academic excellence. He looked forward to promote cooperation and exchange of ideas in pursuit of education and learning in areas of Islamic Studies and training.

Dr. Al-Draiweesh said on the occasion that MoU would strengthen relations between two universities.  “Our doors are open for cooperation with all educational institutions of the world,” he said.
