IIUI HOLDS PROGRAM ON DUKHTARAAN-E-PAKISTAN ENVOY OF PEACE

International Islamic University organized a seminar at Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi, on “Dukhtaraan-e-Pakistan Envoy of Peace” with the collaboration of Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi, and Council of Islamic Ideology on 13 February 2019.

The main aim of the seminar was to highlight the role of woman in peace building as a mother, wife, sister and daughter in family and the society. Professors, Scholars, from different universities expressed their views about the role of women in bringing peace in the society.

Dr. Qibla Ayaz Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), Dr Farkhanda Zia, VP IIUI Female Campus and Member Council of Islamic Ideology, Dr. Fahmida Mirza Federal Minister for inter provisional coordination, , Miss Romina Khurshid Alam, MNA participated in the seminar.

Dr. Qibla Ayaz Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) and said that Dukhtaran-e-Pakistan are the ‘influencers’ and ‘change-makers’ in a society as well as an integral part of a sustainable nation-building exercise.

Dr. Fahmida Mirza, Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination   appreciated the effort of International Islamic University Islamabad and expressed that it is a platform to make women believe in themselves and utilize their potentials to bring change in the thinking of the younger generation which will change the dynamics of their homes and communities, and eventually lead to the promotion of peace and tolerance.

Professor Dr. Farkhanda Zia highlighted the valuable role of women within family and society to counter extremism. She said that this is the prime time; the women should come forward and perform their effective role not within the family but also for the development society. In order to bring peace and positive change in the thinking of younger generation, women should teach their children Islamic and moral values of patience, mutual respect, unity and discipline.
