The third meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) for year 2021 was held here at the new campus of International Islamic University (IIUI) that was presided over by H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President of the university.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Academics, Prof. Dr. Ayaz Afsar, Vice President HS&R, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Vice President Female Campus Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Zia. The meeting was also attended by Deans, Internal and external members of the committee, senior faculty members, Directors and Secretary of the Board Prof. Dr. Engr. Nadeem Ahmad Shiekh.
During the meeting, the board discussed and analyzed synopses’ of faculties of Basic and Applied Sciences and Shariah and Law. The board members deliberated upon other agenda items and also shared valuable suggestions for future research work of the students.
On the occasion, IIUI President stressed to promote research according to the societal needs. Talking about the contemporary situation, Dr. Hathal opined that research on new trends must be encouraged. He added that academic excellence is the top priority and a quality research is a salient attribute that leads universities to the destination of success.
