IIUI, HAYRAT FOUNDATION VOW BILATERAL COOPERATION IN EDUCATION

International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) and Hayrat Foundation of Turkey have agreed devise a roadmap of bilateral cooperation in the field of education and initiate steps for a proper MoU of exchange of students and translation of books.

This was decided here in a meeting between Hayrat foundation delegation with IIUI President Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Dariweesh. The delegation was led by Senator Talha Mehmood which was comprised of President of the Hyrat Foundation Zakir chetain and other officials including Vice Presidents of the regions, humanitarian aid and various departments.

It was agreed that cooperation in the field of translation will also be taken for the translation of books and joint ventures of the exchange of students and matters of scholarships will be taken into focus . Delegation was received by the IIUI President

and other relevant officials here at Faisal Masjid campus of the university. IIUI President after introduction of the university and a briefing regarding its faculties and its constituent units told that IIUI is keen to create balanced and harmonious personalities well introduced with the contemporary changes and Islamic values.

IIUI President said that Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan have strong ties with each other and a trilateral cooperation in the field of education can improve the educational standards of Muslim world. IIUI President said on the occasion that university administration would be happy to see its bright students accommodated in terms of scholarships. IIUI President also hailed the services of Senator Talha Mehmood and told the delegation that he has been a bridge between IIUI and various platforms and his services for Islam and education are laudable.

The Hayrat President said on the occasion that knowledge was the solution to solve the problems of Muslim world. He opined that illiteracy leads to the misconceptions, lack of understanding and constraints in peace, and universities, in addressing these issues, could play due role. He said that knowledge of technology and advancements and knowledge of the religion Islam were the attributes to be mingled in the personalities of the youth of the Muslim world. He said that IIUI was providing quality education and it was great that it was focusing on the contemporary subjects and Islamic values as w

ell.

Senator Talha Mehmood said on the occasion that IIUI was a unique hub of earning and cooperation with the University for Improvement in education and service of society would continue.

The meeting ended with a note that soon correspondence in regard of MoU would be established so that steps for the bilateral exchange and joint ventures be expedited.
