IIUI ALUMNI DR. HUMAYON DAR, IIUI PRESIDENT DISCUSS KEY INITIATIVES

Dr. Humayon Dar, a renowned Islamic economics expert, Director General of the Cambridge Institute of Islamic Finance, and distinguished alumnus of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), met with the President of IIUI, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed on Wednesday at his office where they discussed significant initiatives for the university’s development and alumni engagement.

During the meeting, both dignitaries deliberated on establishing a Centre of Excellence in Islamic Economy to enhance the relevance of students’ skills with industry demands while emphasizing its societal impact. They also discussed the creation of an Alumni Directory aimed at building a practical and robust network of IIUI graduates across various fields.

President IIUI, Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, highlighted the importance of global outreach as a vital component of the university’s recently approved strategic plan, emphasizing that alumni engagement is a top priority. He expressed his commitment to supporting initiatives that align IIUI’s academic framework with industry needs, thereby contributing to societal betterment.
