The Department of Law, Faculty of Shariah & Law (FSL), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), organized a Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the inaugural Legal Clinical Education course of the LLB (Hons) 5-year program. Held at the Hazrat Fatima-tul-Zahra Block Auditorium, Female Campus.
Dr. Amna Mahmood, In-charge Female Campus, and Dr. Ataullah Faizi, Dean FSL, served as chief guests. They emphasized the transformative potential of the initiative in integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills, fostering industry collaboration, and enhancing graduates’ professional competence.
The course, offered in Fall 2024, featured training sessions conducted by seven distinguished FSL alumni specializing in litigation, arbitration, and corporate law. Students engaged in hands-on learning through pro-bono casework, workshops, and seminars, focusing on legal ethics, client relations, and access to justice. The program addressed cases in consumer rights, family law, and public interest litigation.
Funded by ORIC-IIUI, the ceremony acknowledged the contributions of course instructor Dr. Ghazala Ghalib Khan, partnering legal firms, and participating students. Certificates were awarded to students and collaborating professionals for their achievements and contributions.
