FEMALE STUDENTS CELEBRATE QUAID’S 144TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY

Female Students of International Islamic University (IIU),  cerebrated 144th birth  anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Female Hostels.

The celebrations were aimed at educating the students about the Quaid’s vision and Pakistan’s ideology.The Ceremony supervised by Roya Syed assistant Resident House Tutor (ARHT) at Block A, was joined by a number of national and foreigner students.

On the occasion, foreigner and Pakistani  students including  Haseena Qasim (Uganda), Salwa Sorosh (Afghanistan), Maryam Yousaf (Somalia) and Nasreen Kosar(Pakistan) paid  tributes to Qauid, while Aysha Zahid presented a National song. In addition, Farzana Sarwari, an Afghan Student revealed her love for Quaid by presenting a sketch of Quaid e Azam in the event.

Earlier, Dr. Amna Mehmood (Dean Faculty of Social Sciences & Provost female hostels) inaugurated the ceremony as a Chief Guest by cutting the Birthday Cake to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of the father of the nation.

Dr. Amna paid tributes to the great leader and urged the students to follow in the footsteps of the Quaid in all walks of life and hold on to “courage and hope” while coping with the difficulties of the coronavirus pandemic. She also paid homage to the Quaid’s services he rendered for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub- continent.
