FACULTY OF ARABIC HOLDS ARABIC CALLIGRAPHY COURSE AT FEMALE CAMPUS

In a vibrant celebration of art and culture, the Faculty of Arabic (Female Campus) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) recently hosted the grand opening ceremony of the highly anticipated Arabic Calligraphy Course. The event, inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Fazullah, the esteemed Dean of the Faculty of Arabic at IIUI, witnessed a tremendous turnout of faculty members, students, and distinguished guests.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, setting a spiritually enriched tone for the proceedings. Dean Faculty of Arabic, Prof. Dr. Fazlullah, in his addressing the participants shed light on the profound importance of the Arabic Calligraphy Course and its educational objectives. On this occasion, Dr. Moaid Fadhil, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Arabic who is resource person of the course and has dedicated service of more than two decades in teaching Arabic calligraphy, was present on the occasion. He apprised about the outcomes and scope of the course.

Dr. Muhammad Nashi, in charge of the Center for Teaching Arabic as a Language (CTAL), took the stage to provide a comprehensive introduction to Arabic Calligraphy and its various styles. His informative presentation was met with applause, and he extended warm congratulations to the enthusiastic course participants, encouraging them to embark on this artistic journey with determination.

Student advisor Dr. Sadia Saleem also expressed her views and highlighted the Faculty of Arabic’s commitment to organizing such creative and enriching activities. Dr. Sadia motivated students to actively engage in the course, pledging her unwavering support to their academic endeavors.

Dr. Samia Nazish, In-Charge, Faculty of Arabic at Female Campus extended her thanks to all the guests and students for participation, underlining the significance of such initiatives not only for personal growth but also for the betterment of society as a whole.
