EXPO (FETEX’15)
27th & 28th April 2015
Faculty of Engineering & Technology, International Islamic University Islamabad is going to organize an event named FETEX. FETEX is a multi-dimensional event covering several competitions within the fields of Robo Pike, IT Boulevard, Engineering & Technology, Energy Influx, Education Expedition and other Miscellaneous Events. Seminars are also a part of this big picture – providing a unique platform for discerning students to get themselves refreshed from the monotonous theoretical routine.
Under the theme of "Where Excellence Gets Engineered", FETEX ensures to provide a platform where young minds make an effort to bring technological solutions to daily life problems. FETEX targets to bridge the gap between academia and practical life by combining corporates, professionals and students on one platform. It will inspire participants to work self-reliantly in order to refresh their vigilance, intellectual skills and brain-power.
The students of FET have already proved their talent and mettle in various national level competitions, keeping in view the inspiration, talent and passion of our students, in the previous FETEX,10-11, FETEX’12, FETEX’13 and FETEX’14, we are looking forward to make FETEX’15 even better than previous ones.

Details of various competitions are attached herewith. This time IEEE IIUI Student Branch is collaborative partner in FETEX’15. Students wishing to participate in these competitions are required to register before 25th April 2015. Participants should submit appropriate duly filled registration form for the event online in which they wish to participate. Registration fee is different for different events. A definite cash amount will be awarded to the winning teams/individuals.

It is our aim to advance the sports of combat robotics in Pakistan. We aim to encourage the students to turn their dream machine into solid metal and put it on the line and in the zone to build an ultimate destruction machine.

Speed Wiring
This competition will test the skills of circuit optimization, neatness and speed of wiring the circuit. Basic circuit analysis techniques and logic designing methods will be tested. In this competition, a circuit diagram will be provided to the participants, and they will have to implement it on the breadboard. This competition will test the skills of MATLAB. Basic computation techniques and algorithm designing methods will be tested. In this competition, a task will be given to the teams by the judges. Presentation Skills
Soft skills are personal attributes that enhance an individual’s interactions, job performance and career prospects. Unlike hard skills, which are about a person’s skill set and ability to perform a certain type of task or activity, soft skills relate to a person’s ability to interact effectively with coworkers and customers and are broadly applicable both in and outside the workplace. Winning a race: The winner of a race is the first player to complete 5 laps of the circuit course and cross the finish line.

Two warnings constitute being disqualified from the tournament.
