This department is the most practical oriented in this Centre where staff & students almost all the day remain busy in the engine servicing repair and maintenance of all the basis and other vehicles of the Centre.
Car driving classes for students are conducted on car driving trainer and Centre vehicles. The Department is mainly comprises of Auto electric shop, Engine Testing Lab and a servicing Shop, Crank Shaft, Grinding Machine and other equipments are installed in the Auto Shop
Jobs are available for the diploma holders of Auto in Master Autos, Atlas Honda, Hino Pak, Totyota Motors, National Motors, Pak. Suzuki, Devan Motors and Karachi Shipyard & Engg. Works. Fw Students after passing join Sindh Police Department as Motor Vehicle Inspector and S Diesel Mechanic in Maintenance Department.
Auto and Diesel Department trains its students about a vehicle and its different systems like engine overhaul, Auto Electric, Computer Control system and bodywork. Furthermore, Motor driving and inspection techniques are taught. During summer vacations, visits to Auto Industries are arranged to impart first hand knowledge to students. TOYOTA and YAMAHA Companies have established their workshops in the Campus for advanced training of students.
Future Prospects
Pass outs have a great chance to work in defense Industry, Agriculture Machinery and Auto Mobile Industry. They can contribute their skill in Power Generation. Further more, brilliant students can get admission in B.Tech course for higher education. They can also be admitted in UET Mechanical Department. Centre, with the help of SUZUKI Motors is going to set up a service station.
