Dr. Sumayya Chughtai has been appointed as In-charge female campus at International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) .
In addition to her academic responsibilities, Dr Sumayya has been serving as Students’ Advisor female campus since 2021. IIUI teachers, officers and employees congratulated Dr. Sumayya for the appointment as In-charge female campus as she assumed the charge on Friday.
Dr. Sumayya Chughtai is an assistant professor at the faculty of management sciences at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). She joined IIUI in 2010. As a student advisor, she engages almost 17,000 female students in healthy co-curricular activities.
Prior to joining IIUI, Dr. Sumayya served as a lecturer at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and worked in the corporate sector in the areas of general. In addition to her regular teaching and research assignments, she served as the chairperson of the department of accounting and finance till 2021. During her tenure as chairperson, she initiated the offering of a degree program in BS Accounting & Finance at FMS and organized three international research conferences.
She has published multiple papers in national and internationally recognized journals. She has presented her research work in several international and national conferences. She also had the privilege to teach under the faculty exchange program at USAK University in Turkey.
Dr. Sumayya is an associate editor of the in-house faculty journal and serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for various national and international journals. She has chaired various conference sessions at both national and international levels. Dr. Sumayya is also a member of the board of studies not only at her faculty but also at several universities in twin cities. She is regularly invited by universities in the twin cities as an evaluator and external examiner of MS and PhD theses. She is actively involved in several university and faculty-level committees as a member and chair.
