Prof. Dr. N.B. Jumani participated in a one-day webinar on “Initiatives and issues in the online higher education” and addressed on the topic of “blended learning”.
The webinar was organized by Department of education (Lahore) of Virtual University (VU) which was presided over by Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmed Khalid, Chairman PHEC. It was also attended by VU Rector, Naeem Tariq and renowned guest speakers hailing from the discipline of education across the country.
The participants addressed on various topics such as transformation of teachers from conventional to online teaching, online assessment: achievements and challenges and role of IT in post pandemic scenario.
Addressing the webinar, Prof. N.B Jumani highlighted the importance of blended learning in post pandemic scenario. He also apprised about the efforts and responseof IIUI in the wake of global pandemic stating that university devised a comprehensive online teaching and learning policy.
He stressed that higher education institutions must keep reviewing, assessing and updating education plans and blended education approach must be adopted.
