The funeral prayer in absentia of Dr. Hussain Hamed Hassan, first President of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) was offered in Faisal Masjid after Jumma prayer.
The prayer was joined by IIUI Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Acting President Dr. N.B. Jumani, Vice President Academics Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Vice President Higher Studies and Research Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, Deans, DGs, A large number of faculty members and students.
In a condolence message, university leadership has said IIUI stands with family of Dr. Hussain Hamed Hassal in this hour of grief. They prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to members of the bereaved family. Participants of funeral prayer prayed for eternal peace of departed soul and that may Allah Almighty bless the deceased with countless blessings in the life hereafter.
