Dr. Fauzia Janjua has been appointed as Dean of Faculty of Languages and Literature.
Dr. Fauzia Janjua is a Tenured Professor in the Department of English, International Islamic University, Islamabad. She has a PhD degree in English Linguistics from the National University of Modern Languages, Languages and her post-doctorate is from the university of North Carolina USA. She has earned a certificate for Ruqaiya Hassan Online SFL course for Pakistani Teachers from the Halliday Centre for Intelligent Applications of Language Studies, Hong Kong. Many MS and PhD students have completed their theses under her supervision and several are engaged in the process. She has numerous international and national publications to her credit. Her research interests focus on Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, Systemic Functional Linguistics, Eco-linguistics and ELT. She has also authored four books and three chapters focusing on linguistics and research. Two of the book chapters are published by Cambridge scholars and one by Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad which is a part of the MPhil curriculum there. She has earned two research projects from HEC, Pakistan. Two books are in press for publication. As an academic administrator, Professor Janjua has chaired the department of English and has served as Provost female hostels IIUI before joining as Dean FLL.
