Dr. Fahad Khan a licensed Clinical psychologist having Psych D in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences on his profile gave talk on Islamic Psychology to the PhD scholars of Department of Psychology, International Islamic University Islamabad.
During his talk he gave emphasis on research studies on the acculturation & Religiosity for the promotion of mental health.
He is a clinical supervisor at the Khalil Centre in America and teaching the fundamentals of Islamic psychology particularly in the context of mental health. He is also a Hafiz Qur’an and has studied Islamic studies from various scholars in the Muslim world and the US. He is currently a student at Darul Qasim continuing his Arabic and Islamic Studies. He also serves on the Editorial Board for Muslim World Affairs, an online peer-reviewed journal.
He briefly explained the Khalil center model which cater psychotherapeutic services to the Muslim community in the catchment area and also focusing on children and adolescents suffering from various mental illnesses. However, he has had a broad range of experiences dealing with individuals from all age groups and cultural background.
Later, he also called on IIUI Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai and discussed with him his areas of interest and emerging fields of psychology.
