Business Incubation Centre (BIC) of International Islamic University (IIU) organized BIC Freshers Fair 2022. The activity was held separately for both female and males students outside the BIC vicinity (lawn area).
This year’s two day Fair was an entrepreneurial activity to enlighten new and current students regarding IIU BIC and its role in startup and business development/ entrepreneurship, various opportunities for both males and females. It also provided a chance for them to interact with current BIC startups and see their products and services.
In order to support women entrepreneurship among the educated females BIC female startups were also given a platform to present their stalls which was appreciated by the visitors.
The organizers opined that due to an uncertain market and lack of jobs available, the role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has become very important to support better solutions and now job creation, therefore, various interactive talks were also conducted in parallel to ensure maximum information was shared with the students. Furthermore, an information desk for Kamyab Jawan’s Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme was also present to share procedures and financing schemes for aspiring entrepreneurs hoping to start business.
