Introduction
Effective and efficient administration is part and parcel of any successful organization. Public sector organizations are pillars of any government and guarantees successful planning and policy implementation for effective governance system. In the contemporary world, the need for effective, informed and neutral policy makers and public administrators is ever increasing as the issues pertaining to government are becoming more complex in nature. Bachelor in Public Administration at International Islamic University, Islamabad is being introduced keeping in view the unique challenges that Pakistan faces in terms of good governance, management and leadership.

BS Public Administration Degree opens a wide range of job opportunities in federal, provincial and local governments. In addition to public sector placements, BS Public administration also enables graduates for various positions in the corporate sector as well.

Vision
To produce leaders, administrators and policy makers to govern national and international public sector organizations aligned with Islamic values.
 
Mission
To create a learning environment where students can acquire knowledge, develop skills and expertise needed for leadership roles in the public sector organizations through critical thinking, role modelling, and evidence-based research by keeping in view the Islamic guidelines.
 
Program Objectives:
  • To develop understanding of different aspects of Public Administration.
  • To become familiar with operational aspects of Public Administration and public policy specifically in the context of Pakistan
  • To develop managerial, planning, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • To enable students to articulate and apply a public service perspective.
  • To sharpen the skills to analyze, synthesize and evaluate the gaps in public service delivery for bringing reforms in governance.
Learning Outcomes:
After completing degree program of BS Public administration, graduates will be able to:-

  • Develop, implement and evaluate government policies in various departments
  • Express excellent behavior skills in their jobs in federal as well as provincial departments
  • Demonstrate knowledge, ethics and expertise in an integrated way to improve efficiency and effectiveness of departments
  • Identify, analyze and solve issues and problems in the organizations in an effective way

Develop critical skills in solving organizational problems in cross cultural environments
