Thinker Forum Pakistan launch a scheme of educational scholarships. It is called Abdul Mateen Ansari Memorial Scholarship, in the memory of late, Mr. Abdul Mateen Ansari. It is a merit-cum- need based scholarship. The purpose is to fund the education of bright but under-privileged student(s) so that he/they can become financially independent in the future. The AMS is offered to the student, who obtains admission to a College or a University on merit but is unable to continue studies due to lack of financial resources. The salient features are as follows:
It is for the one, who gets enrolled preferably in a government institution or professional college.
Financial assistance is paid to the institution against the name of AMS beneficiary. It is on monthly/ semester or annual basis, and paid through a crossed cheque or pay order.
The financial assistance could be from fifty to ninety percent of the educational fee (academic charges), due to be paid to the institution. It will be for the full term of the program. Or till the student continues to stay in the need assistance, within the stipulated duration.
The beneficiary will have to maintain the grade/CGPA laid down in the Agreement Deed by the Secy Gen TFP; for the respective beneficiary. Institution is responsible to furnish the academic result after every semester. Amount of the scholarship will directly correspond to the grade/CGPA obtained by the beneficiary. A repetition of bad performance may result in reduction of scholarship by 50%. If bad performance persists, scholarship may be withdrawn.
Regular, Silver and Golden beneficiary; there are three options. Manager or the in-charge scholarship must explain it to the beneficiary, and or the guardian; before they sign it.
Every beneficiary will help train/educate at least one more student; whatever way it is practical.
