IIUI mission is to transform the society by promoting education, training, research, technology, and collaboration for reconstruction of human thought in all its forms on the foundations of Islam.
Al-Tibyān is the research journal of the Faculty of Arabic (FOA) at the International Islamic University Islamabad which was founded in 1980, restructured in 1985. Arabic is the language in which the Holy Qur’an was revealed. It is the language that preserved sacred traditions of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. Thus, the two chief sources of Islam i.e. the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah, are available in the Arabic language.
The importance of the Arabic language has always been keenly felt as it leads to spread awareness regarding unity and harmony, alliance and friendship in the Muslim world, especially in the world where people do not know Arabic but having thirst to learn it, so that they can understand Arabic poetic and prose verses, particularly those people who ponder over the Holy Qur’an and other literature on religious topics available in the Arabic language.
Along with these vigorous aims, the IIUI Faculty of Arabic has launched its research journal “Al-Tibyān”. This research journal is meant to facilitate its readers as well as researchers to enhance their understanding in Arabic script. Al-Tibyān aims at promoting scholarly research on wide-ranging contemporary and multi-coloured issues and intricacies of the day.
The very indispensable purpose of the journal “Al-Tibyān” is to develop a close linkage between the intellectuals, literates and academic and a common man of the native or non-native Arabic speaker society through the help of scholarly contributions in areas related to the Arabic language, linguistics and literature.
