The Department of Educational Leadership & Management strives to nurture and fulfill these youthful aspirations through professional educational and training programs for careers in teaching at elementary, secondary and post-secondary educational institutions; for administrative and management positions in education; specialized undertakings in curriculum development, educational methods and technology, educational assessment and evaluation, teacher education, educational planning and management; and as educational researchers, educational thinkers and educational scientists.
Introduction
The Department of Educational Leadership and Management (ELM) of International Islamic University Islamabad was established in September 2022 under the umbrella of Faculty of Education. Previously, the Department of Education was accredited by National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education, (NACTE) Pakistan in X Category. After establishment of Faculty of Education two Departments have been created ELM and TE. It offers different programs including PhD, MS and BS Programs in Educational Leadership and Management. Moreover, Department has been publishing two research Journals recognized by HEC (HJRS) namely International Journal of Innovation in Teaching and Learning (IJITL) with ISSN 2520-0003 and International Journal of Distance Education and E-Learning (IJDEEL) with ISSN 2520-7156. Programs of Department of Educational Leadership and Management are also designed to meet the increasing needs of educational professionals involved in teaching, educational administration and management by applying various leadership skills, parameters and management theories.

Rigorous research and quality teaching will ensure to instill the necessary skills and values that would enable educational leaders to be relevant and diligent.
Mission
To impart necessary education, leadership and management skills that educational leaders apply to become more effective at leading and managing stakeholders to achieve desired goals and targets. The ELM aims to provide conducive learning environment with Islamic and research-based practices for the production of balanced and harmonious educational professionals and leaders to guide and lead the future generations through teaching, educational leadership , administration and research.

The Department is equipped with quality resources to help students cope with the demands and challenges of advanced courses of study. The target population of the program is hardworking students having an urge for effective teaching, potential for carrying out the quality research and aspiring leadership to act as future education leaders and administrators.
