A six months Enhancing Pak-US Partnership for the Faculty Training and capacity building of the 11 Public Sector Universities was launched by International Islamic University, Islamabad as a host , following the US educational collaboration of IIUI-UNCW partnership previously. The training was jointly organized by Department of Politics and IR and Department of English.
Project Director, Dr. Manzoor Afridi, Associate Professor, department of Politics and IR highlighted the goals and outcomes of UPGP Dr. Muhammad Khan, Director( Acad) and Chairman of the Department of International Relations and Political Science, has formally inaugurated the partnership program and welcomed the faculty in IIUI. Head, Department of English, Dr. Arshad Mahmood Raja also spoke on the occasion.
In the first stage of the program, 22 faculty members from four universities i.e. Sargodha University, Hazara University, Haripur University, and Faisalabad University have joined from the Department of English and Department of Political Science.
The purpose of the collaborations is the faculty development, assisting them with the curriculum development, pedagogical development and to give a chance to the young faculty of the public sector, which are newly established and not in mainstream universities. The training was conducted by the senior faculty members of the International Islamic University, Islamabad.
