A 45 member delegation from Cadet College Mastung, Balochistan visited International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) on Tuesday and met with Prof. Dr. Ayaz Afsar, Vice President (Academics), IIUI in the Council Hall, Administration Block.
Vice President (Academics), Prof. Dr. Ayaz Afsar briefed the delegation about the vision of the university. Addressing the delegation Dr. Ayaz Said that education can bring significant change as youth is a precious asset of Pakistan to bring revolutionary development in the country.
On the occasion, a documentary on IIUI was also played for the delegation. IIUI Vice President Prof. Dr. Ayaz Afsar also briefed students about the university, its academic programs, research contributions and presence of foreign faculty members and students. Director Academics Dr. Muhammad Khan, Mr. Nasir Farid, In-Charge, Protocol & Public Relations, Mr. Al-Hassan, Assistant Director (Protocol), IIUI were also present on the occasion.
Delegation was comprehensively briefed about all faculties and departments by the Vice President and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khan. The delegation was also briefed about the vision of the President of the International Islamic University regarding IIU’s Strategic Plan (2022-2026).
Assistant Professor of Cadet College Mastung, Abdul Khaliq Senior faculty from Cadet College and senior officials were leading the delegation. During discussion with the Vice President, officials from Cadet College thanked IIUI administration for arranging an informative visit for cadets. Dr. Ayaz said hard working students are a key factor for the stable country specially Balochistan. He added that IIUI encourages induction of students at university and a quota has been already announced for students form Balochistan.
Later, the delegation also visited classes of Bachelor of Business Administration, BBA at Faculty of Management Sciences, FMS and Faculty of Engineering and Technology, FET’s Department of Civil where they visited labs of the Civil Department and faculties of the university. Dr. Rashid Farooq from the Department of Civil and Dr. Tazeem from Faculty of Management Sciences briefed the cadets comprehensively. Cadets of the College also visited class rooms and met with students of the International Islamic University. At the Vice President (Academics) present shield to Mr. Abdul Khaliq, Assistant Professor, leading the delegation while a shield was also presented by Head of the delegation to Prof. Dr. Ayaz Afsar from Cadet College Mastung.
It is pertinent to mention here that a delegation from Cadet College Mastung, Balochistan are on an All-Pakistan annual study trip to broaden the vision and approach of cadets of the college.
