Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector International Islamic university (IIU) has said that Kashmir Solidarity Day is an omen of recognition of the sacrifices of the people of Kashmir.
The IIU Rector, in his message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, said the day is an opportunity to demand from the world that Kashmiris are waiting for their right of free homeland.
He said this is an occasion to reiterate our firm support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their legitimate struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination.
IIU Rector said that role of universities is vital to highlight the cruelty of Indian forces on innocent Kashmiris. He said the IIU has been working through a dedicated Kashmir desk for research on the issue of Kashmir.
Dr. Masoom added that IIUI provides priority cooperation to the students who hail from Indian occupied Kashmir. The IIU Rector called upon the global community to play a role for the rights of Kashmiris.
Rector IIU said that thousands of Kashmiris have lost their lives and thousands more are languishing in Indian jails. However, atrocities and humiliations have not deterred them from a cause cased on their legitimate aspiration of their right of self determination.
Dr Masoom Yasinzai also appreciated the efforts of IIU President Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi for supervising co-curricular and extra curricular activities in connection with Kashmir Solidarity day that will be participated by a number of students.
