The 80th meeting of Academic Council of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) was held at the News Campus of the University.
The meeting was attended by Rector, IIUI, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President, IIUI. Ms Razina Alam Khan, Ex-Senator, Former Chairperson (NCHD) and Prof. Azra Khanam, Visiting Prof. University Institute of Bio Chemistry & Bio Technology, PMAS-ARID Agriculture University, Rawalpindi were also present in the meeting.
It was also attended by Vice President (A&F), Prof. Dr. N.B. Jumani, Vice President (Academics), Prof. Dr. Ayaz Afsar, Vice President (R&E), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Vice President (Female Campus), Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Zia, Deans of faculties, Director Generals, HoDs and senior faculty members.
The meeting reviewed various important topics, recommendations of various committees on given tasks pertaining to academic excellence and affairs related to research. In the meeting IIUI Rector, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai emphasized upon best utilization of available resources keeping in view all modes of education. He said quality education and improvement in research is the top priority of the university. He also appreciated recent improvement of IIUI in the world ranking of universities.
IIUI President urged the participants to achieve further academic excellence. He said that IIUI is a unique hub of learning and it has a vital responsibility of nurturing Muslim youth according to the prevailing challenges in the light of Islamic teachings. He said keeping this fact in view, all the concerned officials must keep working for further improvement in the standards of teaching, research and curriculum.
Dr. Hathal also congratulated upon IIUI’s recent improvement in world ranking and hoped that university through implementation of Strategic Plan shall achieve its lofty goals.
