My Dear Students,
Assalamu Alaikum
It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you all to a new academic semester after a long break as we have been facing global pandemic for months. For our new students, the commencement of Fall 2020 semester marks the beginning of a new life with new ambitions and a new way of thinking.
As the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be felt extensively in many areas around the world, the importance of safe learning process cannot be over-emphasized. Health and wellbeing are of paramount importance, and thus the University has prepared itself in these challenging times. I urge everyone to carefully read and act upon the SoPs developed in this regard. All the students must use masks, maintain social distance, avoid clustering, and fully cooperate with the faculty and administration to implement the SOPs regarding conduct of classes, transportation, hostels and canteens. As we have to take care of our lives and people around us, therefore, in case of symptoms you must inform the relevant quarters and quarantine yourself immediately. The circumstances required an enormous amount of rapid decision making, planning, and understanding, and, I am sincerely grateful to the entire IIUI fraternity for their active role in the University’s response to this pandemic.
At the end, I wish you Good luck on your journey with a hope that you will responsibly observe SoPs to ensure uninterrupted continuation of teaching and learning process in the campus.
