Dr. Hathal bin Hamoud Al-Otaibi, International Islamic University , Islamabad (IIUI) President arrived Islamabad where he was warmly welcomed by the Vice President AF&P Dr. N.B. Jumani.
After arrival, both IIUI President and VP AF&P had a meeting in which issues pertaining to progress of IIUI, its vision, future goals and its activities were discussed.
Dr. Jumani briefed IIUI President regarding ongoing activities of university, its response to the global pandemic and varsity’s strategy to resume academic activities.
On the occasion, Dr. Hathal thanked for a warm welcome. He took keen interest in the briefing on IIUI’s recent activities including resumption of classes after pandemic. He said features of research and internationalization must be given top priority. The IIUI President vowed that no stone will be left unturned to make IIUI a leading international educational institution.
Earlier, the Board of Trustees (BoT) of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) in its 14th meeting had approved the appointment of Dr. Hathal bin Hamoud Al-Otaibi as new IIUI President.
Professor Dr. Hathal has done PhD in work psychology and psychology of individual differences from University of Madrid, Spain. He has completed his Post-doctorate from USA. He is also a member of Saudi Arabian Association for Educational and Psychological Sciences. Dr. Hathal is also a member of Spanish Psychologists Association and also owns membership of International Conference for Training and Human Resource.
His practical experience includes Deanship of Institute Affairs Abroad at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University, Riyadh, while he has also served as Head of Psychology Department in the same university. He had been Chairman of the Graduate Studies Committee in the Department of Psychology at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University, Riyadh. He has also served as a full time Advisor in the Ministry of Higher Education, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques program for External Scholarships. Dr. Hathal has had been Head of the quality Committee of Department of Psychology. Dr. Hathal remained training consultant in the human resource and member of the curricula and Curriculum Committee.
