IIU’S SRILANKAN STUDENTS TO FLY BACK

Srilankan students of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) will fly back to Srilanka soon.

Eight Srilankan students were allowed to fly back after joint efforts of university and Srilankan high commission.
The students called on Provost (Male) Dr. Abrar Anver and thanked for cooperation and care amid global Covid-19 pandemic.

They also extended thanks to President IIUI for his kind efforts for their scholarship and continuous cooperation. Provost male told that out of 8 students, 4 have completed their degrees, while rest of the four will join back once academic activities start at the campus.

The meeting was alao attended by Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anver and other relevant officials. On the occasion, Dr Abrar Anwar appreciated untiring efforts of RHTs Mr Imran, Mr. Ali and Mr Fida who took extra care of students at hostel and ensured every possible assistance. The students were in isolation at university hostels since the commencement of global coronavirus pandemic.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sri Lankan students were inducted under the scholarship program which was initiated under an MoU between IIUI and Al-Rajhi Trust, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) with the efforts of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President IIUI. The students were inducted in the faculties of Shariah and Law (FSL) and Ussul ud Din (FUI).
