IRI, IIUI: 2-DAYS CONFERENCE ON “VISION” FOR “QUIAD KA PAKISTAN” CONCLUDES

Two day conference on “VISION” regarding Quaid Ka Pakistan organized by Islamic Research Institute (IRI), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) concluded here at Quaid-e-Azam Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus of the university on Frinday.

Youth declaration “NOJUWANAN-E-PAKISTAN” under the national declaration “PAIGHAM-E-PAKISTAN” was announced on this occasion while, as many as 50000 youth from across the country participated for the formation of this declaration.  Special cake was cut on the anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam. On the occasion, Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, IIUI, Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President, IIUI, Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor, Quaid-e-Azam University, Dr. Zia Ul Qayyum, Vice Chancellor, AIOU, Dr. Abdul Qadoos Zohaib, Director, Islamic Research Institute, Baha Ud Din Zakriya University Multan, Chief organizer of conference, Dr. Zia Ul Haq, Director General IRI, IIUI, Mr. Rustam Khan and Ahmed Khawar of IRI, were honored with the IRI’s Islamic Research Institute’s “Peace Awards”.

The conference was attended by a large number of students, along with teachers hailing from various universities including Air University, LUMS, QAU,BZU Multan, PMAS Arid Agriculture Rawalpindi, GC Lahore, GCU for Women Faisalabad, UoL, Karakoram University, Khyber Medical University, University of Gujrat and IIUI.

Addressing to the conference participants, chief guest Hammad Azhar, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs said that terrorism has badly affected the economy and prosperity of the country. Following the vision of the prime minister and Iqbal can help the young man develop and succeed. Federal Minister added that Iqbal’s message contains all the features that are essential to the character of today’s Muslim youth, Hamad Azhar expressed hope that the youth will play a key role in peace and stability in the country.

Dr Muhammad Ali, VC QAU, highlighted the importance of disagreement etiquette and outstanding mutual attitudes in the society. He further said that we should allow our youth to improve the image of their country.

Dr. Zia-ul-Qayyum, VC AIOU, said on this occasion that the role of the university in the promotion of public opinion and peace is an essential key.

Addressing the conference, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, IIUI said that the youth of the country have proved that we are a people of tolerance and patience, the world should know that our message is to preach love, harmony, mutual cooperation and brotherhood. The country’s 56 million young men and women are the solution to the problems, he said, instead of thinking about shortcuts, young people should prepare themselves according to contemporary requirements and paves the way for stability and development in the country whereas investing in high quality education has given us the path to success in the future.

Addressing the conference, President IIUI, Dr. Ahmad Yusuf al-Durivesh highlighted the goals of the Islamic University and the steps taken to train the young Ummah in the light of the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. He further said that the Islamic University has been committed for the promotion of Islamic character from the very beginning, building society and promoting education. He said that Islamic University is a great example of unity of Ummah where young people from many countries of the Muslim world acquire high quality education.

He added that the youth are the force with which provides a strong base to fulfile hopes of the Ummah while, capabilities of Pakistani youth are admirable and our institution’s youth would be at the forefront of country’s development.

Earlier, Dr. Muhammad Zia Ul Haq, Director General, IRI, IIUI, thanked and congratulated teachers, students and guests who attended the conference, presenting details of the conference’s aims and objectives, he said that the success story regarding formation of youth declaration “Nojuwanan-e-Pakistan”.

Celebrating Quaid’s birth anniversary, students also sung national songs and commemorated vision of founder of the nation.

In the end inauguration ceremony of exhibition was also held while conference participants visited pictorial exhibition area where the success story of national narrative Paigham-e Pakistan was elaborated by Dr. Zia Ul Haq to the guests and visitors. On books stalls IIUI, IRI’s publications were available on discounted rates for the visitors on this occasion.
