The Department of Children Literature, Dawah Academy of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) organized “Seerat Competitions-2019” at Auditoriums of Faisal Masjid Campus of the university in which more than 150 students of 1st and 2nd Year classes from around 24 schools of twin cities participated in various categories of the competition. The competitions were divided in five categories, the categories included; Husne Qirrat, Naat Khwani, Seerat Quiz, and Calligraphic art.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) was the chief guest of the concluding ceremony of the Seerat Competitions-2019, which was held at Allama Iqbal Auditorium of Faisal Masjid Campus of the University. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Draiweesh congratulated the organizers and coordination team for organizing the Seerat Competitions of the year successfully and said that Youth is our future and providing them training in the light of Quran and Sunnah is our prime responsibility so that that they can become a useful member of the society who can further deliver for the upcoming generations.
Dr. Draiweesh added that Muslims should always take guidance from Quran and Sunnah while, they should also adopt the behavior of tolerance and moderation as Islam is a religion of peace, harmony and co-existence. International Islamic University’s Dawah Academy is providing best services by holding such activities which nurture the youth in best Islamic manners. Dr. Draiweesh urged that Quran is solution to all problems and youth should seek guidance from the Holy book while, such competitions be held with more frequency so that youth can get more involved by learning from teachings of Quran and Sunnah.
Winners of the competitions were awarded prizes, books and certificates of participation during the concluding ceremony while, Dr. Sohail Hassan, Director General, Dawah Academy, IIUI presented a souvenir to the Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, President, IIUI on this occasion. The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Tahir Mahmood, President, Department of Research, Dawah Academy, Dr. Zaheer Ud Din Behram, Hafiz Abdul Manan Zahidi, In-Charge, Dawah Media, Dawah Academy, IIUI, Nasir Farid, In-Charge, Protocol & Public Relations, IIUI, parents and teachers of students from schools of twin cities.
