A certificate and prize distribution ceremony for the female students of Tajweed, Quran Memorization and training courses at Dar-Ul-Muneera Centre for Quran Memorization and its science of International Islamic University, Islamabad(IIUI) was held here at female campus on Thursday.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, IIUI President as Chief Guest who addressed the students and reiterated his resolve that IIUI would keep disseminating Islam’s message of peace and harmony while, students on campus will be provided best milieu of education enriched with religion and the world as well. He hailed the faculty of Islamic studies (Usuludin) and the Centre for efficient working on the vision of dissemination of Quranic teachings. He added that such Centers were vital in Muslim societies as it could be a significant platform to nurture females in the light of Islamic teachings. Dr. Draiweesh appreciated efforts of Incharge Dar-Ul-Muneer Center and her entire team and said that those who are associated with the Centre voluntarily would be given honorariums soon, President IIUI also wished to establish a Centre like Dar-Ul-Muneera in the male campus of the university for male students in near future.
The ceremony was also addressed by the Dean Faculty of Usuluddin, Dr. Haroon-Ur-Rasheed who gave details of activities of the events and steps taken by his faculty for promotion of Islamic knowledge and research and also elaborated the aims and objectives of the Center which was established in year 2015, endowed by Honorable Sheikh Hamood Al-Deeb, member of the Board of Trustees of the University. The Center has been associated to the name of his mother, he added.
The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Zia, Vice President, Female Campus, Dr. Samina Malik, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Haroon-Ur-Rasheed, Dean, Faculty of Usuluddin, Dr. Nayla Jabeen, Students’ Advisor, Female Campus, Ms. Sajida Jameel, Incharge, Dar-Ul-Muneera Center, Dr. Taj Afsar, Chairman, Department of Tafseer, Faculty of Usuluddin, Dr. Fazl e Rabi Mumtaz, Advisor Media, Mr. Nasir Farid, Incharge, Protocol & Public Relations, Faculty members and a large number of students of the Center.
Ms. Sajida Jameel, Incharge of the Dar-Ul Muneera Centre told that as many as 700 students were acquiring quality education in training, Tehfeez and Tajweed courses. She added that the Centre was also introducing new courses for the female employees who may even join those after office hours.
In the end certificates and prizes distributed to the students who took positions in Tehfeez, Tajweed and training courses by the President, IIUI.
