IIUI DELEGATION DISCUSSES PROMOTION OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION WITH NOOR UL HAQ QADRI

A high level delegation of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) headed by its Rector and President called on Noor ul Haq Qadri, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs on Monday.

Matters pertaining to religious education and role of educational institutions for maintaining peace and stability in the society were discussed in the meeting.

The IIUI Delegation was comprised of Dr. Masoom yasinzai Rector IIUI, Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh President IIUI, Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq, Director General Islamic Research Institute (IRI) and Dr. Husn ul Amin, Executive Director Iqbal International Institute for Research and Dialogue of university.

The Minister hailed IIUI for its services to Muslim world and added that university was providing quality education to the young minds in light of Islamic teachings. He assured of full cooperation to university in the matters related to the ministry especially religious education.

IIUI Rector and President, while felicitating the minister on assuming his duties briefed him about university vision and activities. They maintained educational institutions play significant role to curb the challenge of violence and IIUI is committed for the cause by nurturing young mind. IIUI leadership reiterated his resolve that IIUI would keep playing its role for creating a milieu of peace in the country. On the occasion, Dr. Al-Draiweesh also apprised him about university’s initiative of Paigham e Pakistan.
