IIUI RECTOR AND PRSIDENT CALL ON H.E. PROF. DR. BANDAR BIN MOHAMMED HAAMZAH HAJJAR, CHAIRMAN OF THE ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK (IDB, JEDDAH) AT HIS OFFICE

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai, Rector and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al Draiweesh, President, International Islamic University Islamabad called on His Excellency, Dr. Bandar Bin Mohammed Hamzah Hajjar, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank at his Office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. During the meeting issues pertaining to mutual interest and educational cooperation were discussed. H.E. Dr. Bandar hailed that IIUI is providing a quality education to the students of Muslim World and IIUI is producing mention-able graduates who are serving their countries on higher ranks. He also congratulated Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al Draiweesh on his renewal of appointment as President of the University for the next four years and wished him success in his administrative and academic affairs and further progress and prosperity of the University under his leadership.

Rector and President introduced to H. E. Dr. Bandar about the developmental aspects of the University in scientific and academic fields in the present era. He further briefed about the national and international students acquiring education in different disciplines. The two sides further discussed possible aspects of cooperation and means of supporting the University regarding upgrading it in all fields between the International University Islamabad and the Islamic Development Bank Jeddah, especially in the construction of charitable endowments inside and outside Pakistan, which will benefit the he university and its students. In this regard Dr. Bandar Hajjar, confirmed his continuing support to IIUI in accordance with the rules of Islamic Development Bank.

In this important meeting, the Director of the Scholarship Programs of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) also discussed the granting of scholarships to students of the International Islamic University from Arab and Islamic countries and Muslim minorities. It was also agreed that IIUI and the Islamic Bank in accordance with rules and regulations and with the available possibilities will join hands for further progress of the University.
