“Role of University in Safeguarding Young Minds” is the theme of 27th International Cultural Exhibition organized by Female Campus of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony was the Chief Guest of the ceremony which was held at Fatima Tuz Zohra, Auditorium, Female Campus of IIUI Sector H-10 Campus. Addressing during the inaugural ceremony Sardar Yousaf said that, the university is imparting quality education not only for national but for international students and such activities are necessary for emerging youth where students are involved outside their classrooms. He said that IIUI is providing religious as well as scientific education to national and international students and IIUI has gained a significant place as an international educational institution.
Minister hoped that students after completing their education will play their positive role for national and international peace and progress. The Ceremony was also attended by Senator, Sitara Ayaz, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, IIUI, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousaf Al Draiweesh, President, IIUI, diplomats, academicians, faculty members and a large number of female students of national and international identities attended the ceremony. Senator Sitara Riaz in here speech said that Pakistan is playing its due role for women empowerment, while she expressed satisfaction for female students who are studying here at IIUI where they have been provided a best platform for further progress. She added that role of mother for upbringing the generations are pivotal and women education can safeguard the generations. She emphasized that we should seek help from the Holy Book Quran because it’s a complete code for our practical life. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, IIUI said on the occasion that cultural events are such activities that remains in our minds throughout our life. Youth is the future of any nation and our major objective of this university is to provide every facility to the female and male students. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousaf Al Draiweesh, President, IIUI said that each of men and women have a fundamental role and there is no doubt that the education of women has had a great impact on giving women the opportunity to actively contribute to the advancement of comprehensive development of society In all fields including political, social, cultural, economic, educational and other.
The International Islamic University, Islamabad pays special attention to women. Such activities and exhibitions organized by female students in cultural week is a proof and evidence of interest care and accordance with the principles of Islam. He hoped that female students would be the best ambassadors of the university in their societies, as well as to serve their communities and to employ their education, training and experience in the service of their people and their communities, as the Prophet (SAW) said: “The best people are those who are most beneficial to other people”. Addressing to the inaugural ceremony of event, Studetns’ Advisor, Dr. Nayla Jabeen briefed about the salient activities of 27th Cultural Programs during the week. After inaugural ceremony Director Female Campus, Dr. Farkhanda Zia led Ambassadors and guests to visit national and international stalls setup by the students of university. The stalls presented the culture of different countries mainly, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Somali, Thailand, Indonesia, Iran established cultural stalls. Visitors also appreciated national stalls representing Gilgit Baltistan, Punjab, KPK, Sindh, and Balochistan which were reflecting beautiful cultures. Every stall represented heritage of that area in which students displayed traditional dresses, paintings, music, artifacts, and foods depicting their cultural colors. Students also displayed stalls representing their departmental activities at the campus.
