International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) is playing a pivotal role in dissemination of peace and moderation in the societies of Muslim world. University, to achieve its lofty goals, remains active by conducting forum discussions, conferences and seminars.
In year 2017, IIUI has planned a number of events in joint efforts with Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, Islamic University of Madinah, Ministry of Justice of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Islamic University Bahawalpur, Islamic university, Lahore and other renowned education institutions of the world.
Following events would be held during this year, while more events would be announced soon:
- International Conference on “Role of Islamic universities in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers” in March 2017.
- International Conference on Islam and Media in May 2017.
- International seminar on moderation, Quran and Sunnah in May 2017.
- International conference on Halal food, May 2017
- National seminar on role of IIUI in combating terrorism in August 2017
- IRD’s seminar on Allama Iqbal’s works and thoughts in April 2017
- Seminar on dialogue, its importance in March 2017
- International seminar on women’s role in society and Islam in April 2017
- Seminar on Youth
- Seminar on Seerah of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) in September 2017
- International conference on Dr. Mehmood Ahmed Ghazi
University has another distinction of organizing a cultural week which is a multi-cultural event where students of more than forty countries showcase their cultures. It has been a splendid tradition of the university which also includes competitions of Quran and Hadith.
University’s all faculties and departments take active part in the activities and this year would be a rich one in terms of holding events for the improvements in educational standards, promotion of peace and tranquility.
IIUI President has been heading all the meetings for scheduling and arranging events and he has also directed all the concerned to expedite efforts for holding events. Meanwhile, a schedule of the activities of Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences, Faculty on Engineering and Technology and other faculties will also be announced soon.
