Rector Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh and Pro Chancellor, International Islamic University , Islamabad (IIUI) Prof. Dr. Sulaiman Abdullah Aba Al-Khail called on Chairman University of Central Punjab (UCP) and owner of Duniya Group, Mian Amer Mehmood at Lahore.
The IIUI Pro Chancellor was accompanied by President IIUI Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh and accompanying delegation from Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University.
Both sides vowed during the meeting that steps for improvements in educational standards would be initiated and IIUI, UCP and Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University would devise a comprehensive roadmap for bilateral cooperation in various educational spheres especially in media, teaching of Arabic and Shariah & Law.
Dr. Sulaiman Abdullah Aba Al-Khail, while apprising of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University told that it is offering more than 110 specializations and more than 2 lac students are acquiring quality education at the university.
He reiterated his resolve for dissemination of Islam’s message of peace by discouraging violent attitudes and showed
maximum commitment to foster educational ties between Pakistani and Saudi universities. He also invited Mian Amir to visit Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University while adding that it has the largest and very first media centre at its campus.
Mian Amir hailed Dr. Sulaiman’s services in the field of education and also appreciated his keen interest in strengthening bilateral ties with Pakistan varsities. He stressed that Muslim countries should establish a well-devised policy to counter the western media hegemony as global media is being used for defaming and demonizing Islam. He hoped that cooperation in the field of media between both sides would produce positive result as it will help in broadening exposure of media students of both countries. Mian Amer also invited the IIUI Pro Chancellor to visit campus of UCP and Duniya Tv head office.
Meanwhile, a dinner was also hosted in the honour of Prof. Dr. Sulaiman and IIUI delegation by Mian Amer.
