The International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) and Turkey’s Akdeniz University have agreed to extend mutual cooperation through establishing scientific and educational joint projects.
This was the crux of a protocol of cooperation signed by Rector IIUI Dr. Masoom Yasinzai and Akdeniz University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Unal, on the sidelines of a meeting of High level Pakistani and Turkish academicians which was chaired by Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) held at the commission. The meeting was also attended by Rectors and Vice Chancellors of the universities of both countries.
Both sides agreed on exchange of administrative staff members, students, teaching staff members and researchers. It was also vowed on the occasion that both universities would strengthen mutual knowledge-sharing and cooperation on cultural activities.
According to the text of signed protocol of cooperation it was decided seminars and conferences on scientific topics will be held through bilateral cooperation. Both sides settled that steps to practically and legally shape the proposed points of cooperation would be expedited so that both universities would be able to sign an MoU in this regard.
